Asset Investigation We offer a variety of individual research choices for financial-related checks as well as several packaged asset investigations. The attorneys and financial institutions that we provide asset investigations for typically request one of two packages and sometimes both -- the Focused Tangible Asset Report and the Liquid Asset Report. See below. 1. Focused Tangible Asset Report (Hard Assets) The Focused Tangible Asset Report is performed on a national level and is designed to surface tangible and intangible assets, open and hidden, for a person or business. Tangible assets are items such a real property (houses, condominiums, land, commercial property, partial property ownership interest, etc.) automobiles, boats, jet skis, ATV’s, etc. This is a medium-level investigation as opposed to a cursory database search. Sources at lending institutions play a role in this search. Using background information developed regarding the targets traits, travel habits, family members, business interests, financial account activity, etc., the investigation is focused and steered to be the most effective for the target being investigated. Tangible assets are pursued using a combination of public record sources, proprietary private sources, and hands-on investigative techniques. Occasionally, leads are developed through the Focused Tangible Asset Report which needs to be pursued further. In these cases, recommendations will be provided by the investigator on how to take a “deeper dive” in these areas or track assets conveyed or “separated” from the target, along with the associated cost.
2. Liquid Asset Report ((Banks & Brokerage Accounts) The Liquid Asset Report is less of an investigation and more of a utilization of expert private banking sources to provide account information and focuses on various types of bank accounts as opposed to hard assets. This report is designed to surface liquid assets for a person or business. Liquid assets include regular bank accounts, certificates of deposits, money markets accounts, investment accounts, brokerage accounts, and stocks & securities. There are several options and different levels at which this research can be performed and a separate cost for each. Clients can select from the choices below based on their needs.
